The decorating continues...

Well...I think I'm almost done with the inside...and my husband told me he'd take care of the exterior, so I'm happy! I'll be tied up most of the day tomorrow with work, so I thought I'd post a few more pics of the holiday decor. I also wanted to share a photo of a platter I picked up last year during the after Christmas sales....it's very pretty in person. But what I like the most is what is written on the platter...

THE SPIRIT OF THE SEASON...

THE WONDER OF GIVING...

THE CALM OF NATURE...

THE BEAUTY OF CHRISTMAS...

Ahhhh such beautiful words...I decided to display this lovely platter on my kitchen counter so that I can see it each and every day, it's a gentle reminder of the magic of Christmas...

  1. Beautifully done :)

Are you going to take a picture of the outside?

I read your comment on my blog. Did you purchase my book? If so I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  2. Hello Rose - thanks for stopping by. I like what you are doing with your decorating - lucky you having a dh who will do the outside, that's a huge help!

Love what you say in your profile regarding your excitement for interior design 'identifying who you really are'. Our creativity must find an outlet - bringing it home to share with family and friends is a great way to also fulfill one's own love of beauty.

Nice to meet you - and I certainly was touched watching the video. Life can be cruel to many - especially sad where the children are made to suffer and have no real home of their own, my heart truly aches for them.

  3. I love how you put the garland on the stairs and not the rail. I never thought of doing that! Very clever.

  4. Jillian,
Yes, I'll share pics of the outside...whenever that gets done! No Jillian I don't have your book, but I went to your website and love the illustrations...you are much too talented! If I do place an order for the book for my boys, I'll definately let you know!
