If you read my previous post, you already know that I'm on the hunt for some bird prints. Nan (who is a complete sweetheart by the way, and her posts will certainly make you chuckle!) sent me a link to some prints she found online, and they are just BEAUTIFUL - great job Nan! While those bird prints are really lovely....they don't quite go with the style I'm going for in the family room, and so Nan got me to thinking...what exactly am I looking for, and what would look best in my room with my furniture and backdrop. So, I thought I'd share what I have in mind, these nature inspired bird prints would be perfect. Isn't it amazing that a bird print would have it's own style?? Who knew!

Rose,
ReplyDeleteDo not get me looking at art online. That is a trip down the rabbit hole from which I may not return for hours....and I am supposed to be taping, sanding, priming dark stained trim in the upstairs hallway. Five doors worth plus baseboards. ARGGHH!!
Rose....I had some vintage bird prints framed very, very similar to those prints that were in the boutique. They sold about a month ago. The prints were beautiful and the lady was thrilled with them. Have you checked ebay? Key in item # 180208634419. It's a set of 4 framed pretty bird prints that the starting bid is only $9.99. Do you recall a recent post I did about making tassels out of vintage salt and pepper shakers. Well I made one from a rooster shaker that looked exactly like the rooster over there on your sidebar and my daughter-in-law scarfed it up last time she came for a visit but I do have a pig tassel I can give you. Do you like pigs? xo Lynn
ReplyDeleteI am looking for some too...I need alittle more country to mine.
ReplyDeleteThnks for leading us to this site!
ReplyDeleteRose, first hope you are over the flu and feeling much better.
ReplyDeleteLooking at your fireplace makeover - what an amazing change, love it and how it really is a focal point in your comfy room! Mine is brick too but luckily it's authentic old brick with soft, light uneven colors and quite attractive - so I will have to live with it!
Those are lovely bird prints - the colors look muted and would look lovely with your upholstery shades.
I think those would look fabulous.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Nan
Hi, Rose, I too love bird prints & have a few birdies around my house. Bunnies will always take priority, however!

Fellow bird lover here! I saw two beautiful prints yesterday, very similar to the first two you show, in a nearby Homegoods. I had to restrain myself because I really have nowhere to hang them! :(
