Sooooo.....I've been browsing at bedding, because as I said before this time of year gets me in the "RE" spirit - redecorate, renew...blah...blah...blah...and I showed you some lovely bedding that is just so very dreamy (and very pricey too). But... as I browsed through my favorite shopping sites, well I stumbled across this bedding at none other than JCPenney - and well what can I say I just couldn't resist it. It's charming...and oh such a sweet bargain, and well I've never had a "bedspread" I usually have to change the bedskirt. And it looks so much like the look I'm dreaming of. Don't you think? So, I suppose my bedding will be red! And well couldn't resist the drapes either! I guess the "re" has begun....ha! Hope everyone is ready for the weekend, I know I'm ready! Well...it's back to work for me in the mornin...
Look, I've been saving this wallpaper sample in my files. I found it this summer while browsing...and well I thought it was just lovely. I think it's elegant, and I can picture my master bath dressed in it. So...I thought I'd share it with you, not sure what I'll end up with...
And, here is what's on my bed right now, I really love it too, but it's nice to change through the seasons...I use those matelasse shams with all of my comforters, they make the bed look cozy. And well...you can see why I've been dreading the bedroom makeover...lots of wallpaper to remove. And nowadays when so many people dislike wallpaper, well I've never grown tired of it...and I'm guilty of decorating for ME not the next potential buyer because life's too short!
Oh, I love your JCPenneys choice! I've actually been looking there, too, and had seen that one. We are looking at sage-y greens for a change of pace and have narrowed it down to a few. There are some incredible sales there. We visited our nearby JCP the other day and they didn't have half the selection. Only one we would really consider and my sweetheart said, "It was OK!" That's not good enough for me - I want him to like it more than that. So we kept looking. Shopped till we dropped and came home to possibly order online. Thanks for sharing your incredibly beautiful wallpaper. Can't wait to see your finished projects. It's going to be nice. Lots of work but nice! ~Adrienne~
ReplyDeleteHope your readjustment to back to work goes smoothly...I survived mine yesterday, but gosh that was a long 8 hours! I love the wallpaper sample. I'm feeling kind of "re" too and have several gallons of wall paint on hand--just need to get inspired.
ReplyDeleteHello Rose
ReplyDeleteI love your bed and also the one from JC Penney's.
I will renew my bedroom when I move.....I hope this year !!!!!!!!
Kisses to you my dear Rose
Tu habitación va a quedar preciosa con el nuevo papel ( wallpaper) y con el cubrecama rojo
Rose,
ReplyDeleteI love the red bedding; very warm and cozy for this bleak time of year. That wallpaper would look lovely. I know wallpaper is "out" and as a Realtor I would never advise it, but as a "real person" I do like it sometimes.
Embrace your project and enjoy the results.
Janet
Hi everyone! Yes, I'm guilty of lovin wallpaper though I know it's a no-no for realtors - ha! BUT I have to love the space I live in otherwise I won't be happy. And well...hubby always says "If Rose is not happy, nobbody's happy" - HA!
ReplyDeleteChange is good...it doesn't have to cost alot to have a "new" look...I just rearranged my love seat and sofa in the living room and even that has made things look fresh and less "squeezed" in. I love wallpaper..I don't love taking it down (been doing that recently!) but there's no question it adds something to a room. I think it's actually starting to make a comeback and the piece you have is very elegant and rich!
ReplyDeleteI am such a big fan or red and gold. I love your choice! Can't wait to see it all in your room!
ReplyDeletePenny
Your bed covers now and love the one from JC Penny as well. I'm a firm believer in doing what you want and not following trends. If you like wallpaper then you go girl :)

I love that bedding. It is unusual to find a bedspread rather than a comforter. The wallpaper is very pretty too. I have been steering away from wallpaper because the stripping of it is too fresh in my mind.
ReplyDeleteI redid our bedroom last spring but honestly don't like it that much. The paint is mocha and at some times of the day it has a pinkish tone. Yuck!
The bedding is hotel white bedding which has proven to be a very dumb choice, as my dog likes to sleep on our bed as often as he can. So, I'm always pulling the duvet off.
I want to repaint but it's a pain so I'll wait a while.
Can't wait to see your finished product. I love red.
Hugs,
Nan
I'm in awe with all of your talents. I get tired just knowing about your busy schedule. Your creativity really shines through your blog. Your home is beautiful and belongs in a decorating magazine. (To your readers: I have the pleasure of seeing Rose's house up close and personal, and I need to tell you that the pictures don't do it justice. It is simply adorable). I just wanted to thank you once again for welcoming us into your home for the holidays. We felt like we were in a B & B. You definitely could have a career in the industry. You and your hubby were excellent hosts. Your hospitiality will never be forgotten. I can't wait to get a new house so that we can have fun decorating it. I value your opinion and thanks to your persistence I ready for a move. You are warm, caring, and thoughtful. I have the pleasure of having you as my best friend. You have been through so much with me, and I truly appreciate you. By the way, I love the bedset and wall paper. I know you can't wait to get it!

Hello Rose
ReplyDeleteStopping by to say hello and wishing you a wonderful week
Kisses to you

I love that wallpaper. In fact, I can safely say that I love wallpaper in general. Love it. My problem is that I know I'll get tired of it in a very short time and then I will have to REMOVE it. This is not something I want to do. Ever. I've done too much already. I have seriously considered upholstering my walls just because it's so much easier to take down than wallpaper, and I'm not sure that it's any harder to put up. Hmmmmmm..... Love the new bedding, can't wait to see how it looks when it arrives!
