Family Time....

So I'm back home from my sister's, and we had a wonderful time. We went to celebrate Christmas with my side of the family, and although the weather made our commute a little scary, we made it there and back safely. My sister had her house decorated so pretty, I took a few snapshots to share with you. She's the sister that tells us she has no clue how to decorate....I think she's been pulling our leg all along. HA! She also has two boys about the same age of mine...so you can imagine the four of them running around the house like mad....phew they'll sleep good tonight!!!

And of course as we do each and every time we go to visit Teresa - the sisters have to take our trip to the local "Home Goods" one of our favorite places to shop for home stuff! And this time my brother and his wife tagged along with their 3 kids....when we got there my sister Martha announces "quick each of us grab a kid" - ha can you just picture it! So, this is how it goes....we like to take our initial scan of the entire store, filling the cart with all of the treasures that we spot, and then at the end...we start going through the cart and deciding what we'll buy. Ha....I had the cart FULL of stuff, and by the end of the shopping tour...I ended up with ONE thing - can you believe it???! And it was a clearance item too for only $3.00! (oh my husband will be proud!) A cute little frame with fabric stitching on brown plaid - it's adorable...so I found the perfect spot in my family room for it. Isn't is just so cute?!

  1. Rose,
That is so funny. I do the same thing at HomeGoods. If you don't put it in your cart, you forget that you were going to go back and look at "it" again. Last time I went I actually bought 3 things including a lamp. I couldn't believe I spent almost $60. I never do that!! Must be the Christmas spirit.

  3. Hi Rose, So sorry I haven't visited in a while. Things were just crazy around her last week but hopefully this week I can relax. All is ready except for some baking, wrapping and putting fresh cut greens in the house. (Well maybe I won't be relaxing just yet. LOL ) Glad you made it back safe and sound from your sisters. And loved seeing your decorated home. It was so much fun. xoxo Lynn
