Phew....well that went well! My boys have proclaimed that this was the best Christmas EVER! Thank you Santa! Ha! And look at this cutie pie that I found while Christmas shopping. Ok, is he adorable or what? I've put him on my kitchen window so I can stare at him when I do the dishes - and yep I've kissed him and kissed him and nada! HA!
Well...it's all over now, and it's at this time of year that I get the urge to refocus, redecorate, renew...and anything else that begins with "re" - HA! And...yes, trying to really focus on a healthier me and family...like so many of us do at this time of year. And I usually fall off the wagon pretty quickly on the working out stuff...so once again I'll try. BUT, recently I've really tried to evaluate the way I do things, and the way I run my household. Keeping in mind that my family is depending on me to keep them healthy. So, in an effort to be more "Green" minded, I've really focused on getting rid of those nasty toxic chemicals that I use to clean my home. Target has products that they sell named "Method" - they are biodegradable and toxic free...which in turn means a healthier home for my children. And I've given in to the milk that is free of growth hormones too after my girlfriend recounted a documentary she had seen on tv. And it doesn't take much to make me paranoid - trust me...so it's a step in the right direction I suppose. Yep, I have paper bags in the back of my truck that I carry in to the grocery store to re-use....but I've forgotten to carry them in more times than not - darn! I'm tryin....it's going to take me a little while to get this stuff - ha! But I must tell you that these toxic free cleaners do a wonderful job! And I also found some laundry detergent at Costco that is green friendly too.
Ok, now that I've spilled my guts....I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Hugs to all of you who have made my life a little more special with your friendship.
Rose,
ReplyDeleteI have a couple of the cloth grocery bags which I carry in my purse and still forget to use them about 50% of the time. But I am trying and I figure that is worth something!!

Glad your Christmas went so well. Ours was nice too.
ReplyDeleteNice to hear about your "plan" for running your household. I've seen those products at Target, but never tried them. Maybe I'll check them out, too.
I need to get back on a diet, or at least a healthier eating plan. So does my dog. He's chubby too.
Wish me luck!
Nan

Glad to hear your kids had the best Christmas ever! My kids said the same thing.
ReplyDeleteI've been getting greener lately, myself. Too many chemicals!
Your cookies look delicious, too!
Hi Sweet Lady, I get in that "Re" phase too after Christmas especially after all the holiday decor comes down and I get to start fresh and clean. Today I am working on my website. Lots of new ideas running around in my head and lots of things to list that I collected in November and December. The holidays kept me from working on it as much as I needed to so it's time to go. So glad the boys had a happy Christmas. Happy New Year! xoxo Lynn
ReplyDeleteI always feel renewed this time of year also....I have a list of "re" that I want to do....
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Penny
